At long last, someone has unearthed one of the greatest commercials of all time. That’s right, it’s Jack Palance’s Skin Bracer ad featuring two of the most repeatable and repeated (by me) lines ever:
“I don’t need some fancy cologne to tell me I’m a man.”
“Confidence is very sexy, don’t you think?”
Heck yeah, I think! And my apologies for earlier reporting that this was an Aqua Velva ad. Jack will undoutedly torment my soul for ever associating his name with that dreck.
Later,
Fox

Dude, c’mon. You have a man-crush on a dead dude? Let it go. For the babies’ sakes.
Don’t make me ban you, Volvo Boy.
Don’t listen to them; this one one of the best commercials of our generation. I’m not a man, but I’ve used both lines (especially the latter) – with great relish (and a rasp, so there’s clear homage being paid) – for years.
I love it.
